ON THE SLOPES OF THE BALENBERG
A permanent walking trail has been laid out around the experience center, on the flanks of the hill.
A beautiful footpath winds through the site for those who prefer something calmer and want to enjoy the natural beauty.
Practical info:
- Access to all tracks is available daily and free of charge
- Changing rooms with showers are available for 3 euros per person
Groepen onder begeleiding
Groepen die langskomen met eigen begeleiding worden gevraagd dit op voorhand te melden via info@svennyscylingcenter.be en een kleine bijdrage van 3 euro per deelnemer te betalen. Op die manier dragen alle gebruikers van het terrein (een beetje) bij tot het onderhoud ervan.
De initiatiefnemer en bijbehorende groep betreden het terrein onder eigen verantwoordelijkheid. Balenberg kan niet aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor ongevallen waarbij sprake zou zijn van gebreken aan het parcours of de obstakels. De initiatiefnemer moet begrip hebben voor de staat van het parcours o.i.v. het weer of evenementen die plaatsvonden.

- Bijdrage van 3 euro per deelnemer voor gebruik terrein en infrastructuur.
- Inclusief 1 gratis inkomticket voor het belevingscenter – 1 jaar geldig.
- Betaling ter plaatse aan het onthaal contant/bancontact of per overschrijving op factuur.
- Optioneel: gebruik afspuitstand (1 euro per fiets) en gebruik kleedkamers/douches (3 euro per persoon).

A hilly region where wine slopes and fruit orchards colour the landscape, strewn with rural villages and surprising provincial towns. A walk through Hageland is always a pleasant surprise.
The Balenberg and the Sven Nys Cycling Center is literally and figuratively the high point of many walking routes.
It links up with the Flemish Brabant cycling network, Sport Vlaanderen’s mountain bike track, and several walks in the area.
The Balenberg is a tourist attraction for every cyclist and hiker in Hageland.

- Welcome to Baal, the village of the cyclo-cross hero Sven Nys. The Balenberg is literally and figuratively the high point of this walk and a legendary spot for every cyclo-cross enthusiast. This is where, every year, the Sven Nys Grand Prix is run and on top of the hill is the Sven Nys Cycling Center, an exciting interactive centre for and about off-road cycling. You can start the walk here or in the centre of Baal.

Natuurwandeling Balenberg

Start aan het Sven Nys Cycling Center voor een mooie wandeling door natuurgebied Balenberg. Klimmen naar mooie uitzichten en weer dalen naar de salamanderpoel en vuurvlinderweides. Een korte, maar pittige wandeling.

Breathe freely in the open landscape of Hageland, where you can disappear in nature until the next village appears. The slopes of the vineyards add a southern touch; the fruit plantations provide colour (and sweet apples and pears).
